Watched this TED talk yesterday which got me thinking about this old post and my "three happy's". I wish I didn't have to reprogram my brain so often to positive thinking, but at least I know how to get myself out of this negative spiral I often find myself in. Need to take out my journal again, end the day with writing three things that have made me happy. And by happy I don't mean totally euphoric happy (although thats a good thing of course), small-smile-on-the-face-happy is more than good enough.
Er með þetta lag á hlaupalistanum mínum á Spotify!
ReplyDeleteÞetta er frábært lag, verð aldrei leið á því!
Deletethank you for this! i have found myself having to 'get back on track' a lot lately. i am positive by nature and sometimes need to listen harder to the shadow thoughts to find my best self, rather than brush right over them. i'm thinking a journal might do me some good. thank you, dear!
ReplyDeleteand yes! the music! always a good thing!
Anytime, Ivey! The journaling really does help, at least for me, and it's so fun to look back on and see all those good things in your life.
DeleteLove my masthead photo too, thanks for the compliment. Going to get that one printed and up on a wall somewhere here at home!
also, your masthead photo is pure genius. love it.
ReplyDeleteI have a journal I pick up once in a while yes, although I wish I did it more often. I suppose blogging is a kind of journaling, right? Hope you get back into positive drive soon, I tend to fall out also and need to spend time recapitulating what is actually important right now.
ReplyDeleteOh and I love your 33 list! Should do one myself since my birthday just passed. Happy week!
Oh my goodness, that TED talk was hilarious! I loved it. And the throwing muses -- love them too. It's been a long time since I listened to them.
ReplyDeleteI came over from weekending and am so glad I did. I enjoyed my visit to your blog and have you in my reader now.
Blessings,
Stacy
